The King’s Centre for Strategic Communications (KCSC) is the world’s focal point for education, research, and exchange of ideas in this complex field. We teach strategic communications to a diverse intake of students from all continents and appeals to experienced practitioners as well as recent graduates. Study is undertaken at Masters and PhD levels, and both benefit from a proximity to senior expert lecturers from government, militaries, diplomatic corps, journalism, marketing companies, international organisations, and NGOs. At the same time a creative blend of academics from King’s College London’s School of Security Studies and its Business School offer conceptual ways of understanding the turbulence of contemporary geopolitics and ways of shaping political communications across the globe. These are enriched via cutting-edge scholarship and research and the latest lessons learned in frontline practice.
KCSC offers both a full-time and part-time MA in Strategic Communications with a range of topics including Theory & Concepts; Applied Strategic Communications; Audience and Population Behaviour; and Political Marketing in the Digital Age. Some of these courses are taught intensively at weekends – an attractive option for practitioners who wish to continue their education while in full-time employment.
Our graduates go on to work in government, the armed forces, political marketing, political journalism and international organisations and NGOs. Several have been accepted into the NATO-KCSC intern programme where students spend 3-month research periods working in Riga, Latvia.
